Cooperation can also be obtained from any part of the country by filing a complaint through the police's 'Hello City' apps.


* If there is only Facebook hacking, there is a possibility of getting remedy only if you wait for a few days and follow up regularly. Because the Cyber   Crime Unit has sophisticated equipment and many sincere officers. As a result, the remedy is easily matched.


What to do if you spread offensive pictures online


* If the perpetrator spreads offensive pictures or videos on the internet, the victim can first lodge a complaint by sending an e-mail to cyberhelp@dmp.gov.bd.


* If the victim thinks that he / she wants to report the problem directly, he / she can go to the office of the Cyber   Crime Unit of the Counter Terrorism Division of the DMP. The victim can also seek redressal by talking to the officer in charge on 0179691522 if he feels the need.


Things to keep in mind to complain


* Experts advise to report any kind of harassment on the internet as soon as possible. The complaint must require some evidence in support of the complaint, such as screenshots, links, audio-video files or other documents relating to the complaint.


* When collecting screenshots, make sure that the URL of the Address Bar is visible.


* If you want to make a complaint through Hello CT app and e-mail, you have to attach and upload these contents. In other cases soft copy may be given directly.


* The victim can talk to the officers of the Cyber   Crime Unit for any advice-cooperation. Those tips will be helpful in getting legal help.
